The Acoustic Map of Lodz characterizes the acoustic climate of the city globally and is the basis for the preparation of the environmental noise protection program for the city of Lodz. The result of the strategic acoustic maps and the acoustic conflict map developed in digital version is detailed information on the location of areas where permissible levels have been exceeded and the number of residents exposed to excessive noise. The acoustic map, integrated with the Lodz Land Information System (SIT), illustrates the environmental noise hazard for different types of sources (industrial, road, rail).
